In the course of the past week I could not help but get the feeling that some teachers just don’t get it! Technology is become an integral part of the daily lives of our students. They interact and learn using technology everyday. This is how students interact with the world today. To reach students today, teachers must use these tools to fully engage students.
I have often found that the best way to influence a teacher is through their students. I found this video on YouTube and feel it makes some excellent points. This video was created by Shawn Gormley and Kevin Honeycutt that highlights some of the digital disconnects that exist between students and teachers:
